An orthophotomap is an aerial or satellite image that has been processed (orthorectified) to eliminate geometric inaccuracies that occur during image capture.

An orthophotomap is widely used as a base layer in cartographic materials and map compositions within GIS systems.

In Poland, the orthophotomap is available for free:

  1. as source files available for download from geoportal.gov.pl
  2. as a WMS, also from geoportal.gov.pl and other similar services
