{"id":8029,"date":"2024-05-17T11:51:50","date_gmt":"2024-05-17T09:51:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usemaps.com\/kb\/uncategorized\/how-to-configure-the-postprocessing-tool\/"},"modified":"2024-05-17T11:51:50","modified_gmt":"2024-05-17T09:51:50","slug":"how-to-configure-the-postprocessing-tool","status":"publish","type":"knowledgebase","link":"https:\/\/usemaps.com\/en\/usemaps-documentation\/administrators-guide\/how-to-configure-the-postprocessing-tool\/","title":{"rendered":"How to configure the Postprocessing tool?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The additional Postprocessing module allows you to define rules for filling object attributes and to run them on the User\u2019s request.<\/p>\n<p>In simple terms, this module makes it possible to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>define that in the attribute \u201cDistance from National Park\u201d we want to store information about the distance to the nearest National Park\u2026 and<\/li>\n<li>run an automatic process that calculates this distance and fills the attribute<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>I encourage you to watch the video:<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/l37_Kz6qZ0U?si=rIgqcghh3WS0lFDh\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"display:block; max-width:100%; margin:0 auto;\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"bpress-anchor-link\" name=\"jak-to-skonfigurowa%C4%87\" data-index=\"1.1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>How to configure it?<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>If you don\u2019t have it, add an attribute with the desired name and type to the Data Source.<\/li>\n<li>Go to Modules -&gt; Postprocessing<\/li>\n<li>Configure the rule:\n<ol>\n<li>Click the Green Plus button<\/li>\n<li>Select the Data Source for which you want to define the rule<\/li>\n<li>Select the Attribute for which you want to define the rule<\/li>\n<li>Select the Driver (i.e. one of the mechanisms) and the additional Driver parameters. Currently, the available drivers are:\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Intersection <\/strong>\u2013 assigns a value based on another Data Source uploaded to the system<\/li>\n<li><strong>ULDK <\/strong>\u2013 allows you to assign, for example, to a point information about the voivodeship, county, municipality, cadastral unit, sheet, and plot number where it is located<\/li>\n<li><strong>WMS <\/strong>\u2013 assigns a value from the object information available in a WMS<\/li>\n<li><strong>Join<\/strong> \u2013 retrieves the attribute value from another layer based on a join<\/li>\n<li><strong>Find Nearest <\/strong>\u2013 enters the distance in meters between the object and the nearest object from the selected layer\n<ol>\n<li>Optionally, you can select a formula, which determines how the tool\u2019s result will be saved in the Attribute. For example: ({{distance}}\/1000)::Numeric(10,2) || \u2019 km from \u2019 || layer.name <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click Add.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Formulas in the Find Nearest driver<\/h3>\n<p>By default, the tool\u2019s result is in meters with 10 decimal places. This is not very practical, so the administrator can define how this result will be saved in the attribute. For example, the formula: ({{distance}}\/1000)::Numeric(10,2) || \u2019 km from \u2019 || layer.name means:  <\/p>\n<p>Divide the result in meters {{distance}} by 1000 (to get the value in kilometers) and round it to two decimal places. Then concatenate (the || operator joins texts) with the text \u2018km from\u2019 and the value of the name attribute from the layer for which the distance is calculated. Multiple results: If the query returns multiple results, the values will be joined with commas.<br \/>\n2.
