These requests are forwarded to county servers, which must generate \u201ctiles\u201d from the source data (vector files). The tiles are then sent back through geoportal.gov.pl to appear on your screen. <\/p>\n<p>Each movement of the map triggers another series of requests.<\/p>\n<h4>Is it possible to speed this up? Yes.<\/h4>\n<p>The PowerWMS service for Usemaps users works by connecting Usemaps not directly to the Geoportal.gov.pl WMS, but to the PowerWMS service address:<\/p>\n<p><del><a class=\"broken_link\" href=\"https:\/\/powerwms.gisbox.pl\/geoserver\/gisbox\/gwc\/service\/wmts\">https:\/\/powerwms.gisbox.pl\/geoserver\/gisbox\/gwc\/service\/wmts<\/a><\/del><\/p>\n<p>This way, every map movement sends a series of requests to PowerWMS, which first checks whether it already has the \u201ccached\u201d tiles in its database. If not, it queries Geoportal.gov.pl as described earlier, but with the difference that it \u201ccaches\u201d and stores the received tiles in its own database. As a result, data is only requested once, and subsequent requests use the cached tiles.
