You can create a Simple Dictionary based on a list you have in a CSV file.<\/p>\n

Procedure:<\/p>\n

  1. Prepare a suitable file with the dictionary values. It should contain only one column, without a header. The dictionary values should be listed in consecutive rows. Save the file in CSV format. <\/li>\n
  2. Go to: Administration Panel > Dictionaries.<\/li>\n
  3. Click \u201cImport Dictionary\u201d and then select \u201cfrom CSV file\u201d.<\/li>\n
  4. A new window will open, where you should: assign a name to the dictionary, select the data type, and choose the file by indicating its location on your disk.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The data type should be selected according to the values contained in the dictionary. Using \u201cinteger\u201d or \u201cdecimal\u201d will not allow you to enter non-numeric values, such as letters or special characters. However, it will enable correct ascending sorting and the use of graduated symbology.
    The most universal type is \u201ctext\u201d, which allows you to enter letters, numbers, and special characters. However, it will limit the ability to perform the number-specific operations described above. <\/p>\n

    1. Click \u201cLoad\u201d. The newly generated dictionary will appear in the list of dictionaries. To open it, click the three dots and select \u201cEdit\u201d. <\/li>\n
    2. Finally, you need to assign the dictionary to the appropriate layer attribute. To do this, go to Data Sources and then open Attribute Management for the selected layer. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
