{"id":6445,"date":"2021-11-09T14:26:25","date_gmt":"2021-11-09T13:26:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usemaps.com\/kb\/uncategorized\/cadastral-parcels\/"},"modified":"2021-11-09T14:26:25","modified_gmt":"2021-11-09T13:26:25","slug":"cadastral-parcels","status":"publish","type":"knowledgebase","link":"https:\/\/usemaps.com\/en\/usemaps-documentation\/definitions\/cadastral-parcels\/","title":{"rendered":"Cadastral Parcels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cadastral parcels are a very important element of spatial knowledge, and therefore a key component of GIS-class Systems.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the following article is to gather all essential information about the purposes and ways of using cadastral parcels in the System. <\/p>\n<p><a class=\"bpress-anchor-link\" name=\"%C5%B9r%C3%B3d%C5%82o-danych-o-dzia%C5%82kach-ewidencyjnych-\" data-index=\"1.1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Source of data on cadastral parcels.<\/h3>\n<p>Cadastral parcels are part of the Land and Building Registry (EGiB) \u2013 a dataset maintained by the County Governor (Starosta), usually \u201cthrough\u201d the County Center for Geodetic and Cartographic Documentation and surveyors who perform physical measurements in the field.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2019, this dataset\u2014covering geometry (i.e., shape) and parcel numbers\u2014has been available for free to everyone. Counties vary in how they provide access to cadastral source data: from a standard WFS data service to data delivered on a CD after submitting a paper application. You need to call the specific county to find out.   <\/p>\n<h3>Cadastral parcels in the System.<\/h3>\n<p>Use cases of the System related to cadastral parcels:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>I want to check the parcel number where an object is located.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In that case, the easiest way is to add a WMS from the National Land Registry Integration (KIEG) to the System. Unfortunately, it\u2019s only a WMS, so you can only view the data: it cannot be copied, saved, or displayed as a vector layer. <\/p>\n<p>2.
